Virtual Singer volume

Everytime I open any midi file containing melody with words and others instruments in Harmony Assistant, I must to reduce the volume for all instruments because the singers are very quiet.

Could be the default Virtual Singer volume more loud?

Bonjour
Le niveau sonore est différent selon le chanteur.
Peut-être essayer avec un autre.
Dans la partition, vous pouvez régler le niveau sonore de chaque instrument assez faible pour ne pas couvrir le chanteur.

Hello
Thank you for the tip.
I am sorry for my very late response.

What i would like is:
1) open midi file
2) assign lyrics to the staff
3) play

Why the same midi file sounds OK when I play it without Virtual Singer?
Normal instrument sounds much louder then Virtual Singer in default.

The MIDI volume is handled differently.  If you are opening a MIDI file, that is probably why the difference.  If you start with a Myriad .MYR or .MUS file, things should be more balanced.

There is a Volume tab on the VS > Edit Voice menu, but I don't think it will do what you want.  You could try, though, and see what happens.

Also, I believe the VS output is digital, so you may have timing problems mixing VS singers with MIDI instruments.  There is a feature somewhere in one of the config menus that deals with this, however.  (Don't remember exactly where to find it, sorry!)

Hallo .. I Hope I understood the question .... You are using HA  digital instruments I presume? It is much the same if you use midi instruments... though their volume is likely to be slightly different.
When the virtual voice assigned  by default is too quiet  in comparison with other instruments , it takes just a moment  to raise the staff volume for that voice in the mixer.

But if  you want the raising  to be automatic, you can alter the set volume in the 'default' voice itself,  so that when it is assigned it is always louder than  presently.  Yes,  it does work.
------------------------------------

If you want to try editing  >>>>

On any virtual singer staff you have assigned, click  the yellow icon on the large mixer ( or the figure icon on the open virtual singer  window, if that is what you use).
This will open the edit window for the voice.
In your case the name of the voice should be "std voice".  It will be highlighted in green.

Then click the edit button ... a  set of  tab windows opens.
The change you want to make is on the  tab  labelled "volume".
Currently the button labelled 'amplification'  should be  224.
Change  this upwards to your taste. The max setting will double the volume.
To save the change,  OK the tab windows and you will return to the first window edit.

At the bottom is a button  "save to list".
Click on this and an interface opens for you to save.
If the name "std voice' is not alreaady in the slot  to OK ,  then enter "std voice" and when  you OK,  it will let you overwite the existing std voice.
--------------------------------------

Of course if you ever assign another voice (rather than the default)  the  volume will be low again.
This is not a problem if you just raise the staff volume. ( or the  velocity of  all the staff  notes )

Muddle.
