I guess you're talking about the fingering. The best thing to do is use an effect for each note : 1- edit the note (double-click on it) 2- Choose the "effects" tab 3- select one of the figures shown in the 7th line of the table (1...5) 4- Click on the "+" (see at the top of the mark column) You can fine tune the position with the horizontal/vertical offsets, but I find it easier to do it straight on the staff with the mouse.

thank you for your help. Since I have bad eyesight, I do not see that. Is there also the possibility to mark as in the Picture? THX Frank

| Sorry, I don't really see what you mean to do. Could you explain a little more ? By the way, there is another method to add the fingering (which is faster, to my mind) : 1- Open the "Mark tools 3" palette (Zusatzzeichen 3) 2- Make sure there is no note/silence selected 3- Use the injection (syringe) tool to select and place the fingering. I attach a screen copy to show what I mean (the palette on the right is my user's palette)

With the reference to being transparent, I would guess he's asking about the green rectangles, not the numbers next to the note-heads.

Sorry about this misunderstanding. The transparent rectangle is usually the selection of notes that's why I got the question wrong. However, if you really want the rectangle to be printed (or displayed) I think you'd better use a free object (last button in the miscellaneous tools), choose the type (filled frame, filled circle, etc.) and the color, with a background level (or else the staff and notes will be hidden). The frame/circle can be repositionned on the score and resized with the mouse. Double-click on it to edit it again.
