Hiding a stave for part of the score

I am attempting to arrange a song with two vocalists and piano accompaniment. The score has a piano introduction (no vocals for several measures) and an outro (also without vocals). I'd rather not have multiple printed vocal measures full of nothing but rests. I'd rather entirely hide most of those measures in the vocal staves when the vocalists aren't singing at the beginning and end of the piece. Therefore, is there a way to hide the vocal staves for several measures so that they won't print so that I can save space on the page, thereby reducing the total number of pages needed for this music composition?

Not sure if there are local metrics to do this, but generally one will just hide empty staff lines. In File Menu, "Printing Options" you would tick "Don't print empty staves", in the right-side column.

Perhaps you can use the "views" function. One view for the singers and one for the pianist. In each view, you can change the staff size, for example. Usually, I set a smaller size for the singers' staves in the piano view. That makes is easier for the pianist. I do the reverse for the singers. I also activate Score>Page Mode Setup>Allow multi-rest bars. Now, to hide some bars, I think there is a script in Scripts>Notation>Bars>Hide bars.

If you choose the option not to print empty staves in the Print Options screen, it sometimes happens that an apparently empty staff will still be displayed/printed. In such a case, it is usually because there is some neglected dynamic mark or text or tempo mark that makes HA consider the staff not to be empty. Either delete it or move it, and the staff will disappear.
