It would be great but it's not that simple. For that you need a studio and an orchestra. A big one. Stuff like that is done in years.

Just some rambling thoughts on this. I'm not sure that enough people care about the sound produced in any case. This seems to be a very "composer and score production" oriented product. Besides, ideally, improving the sound is not just a matter of the samples, its in the whole system of handling musician like articulations of the sound. If you become ambitious to produce really good sound, it inevitably means a lot of work. Just about as much as handling real instruments I think! There are alternate sounds some have tried with HA. The old version of Garritan and the new Aria version. Someone else used Motu symphonic I noticed. And the super quality organ program .. whose name I forget. Be interesting to have a complete list of what has been used. Any information from anyone? Please? Along those lines, I recently tried the free, though very outdated, Roland "virtual sound canvas" A few good sounds for brass and various other ones. It is certainly easy to use a midi based module like that in HA. It just appears in the hardware configuration list. It's a pity the quality libraries all require VST. I don't suppose the Guillian Bros could invent a completely original (additional) midi interface that can talk to these VST things? After all, if one currently uses something like "maple midi" or whatever, to connect to a VST host and then an alternate sound source - WITHOUT ALTERING HA AT ALL,- then surely it would be possible for Myriad to create a similar additional system ... i.e. a midi driver like "maple' and probably a VST host as well, integrated with HA installation. The assigning instrument difficulty for HA with VST hosting, as mentioned in the Atelier Démocratique might not apply in this case .. since it is an add on using the existing midi output, and not a change to HA. Perhaps one could then have a new instrument list alternative in HA which could be written to apply specifically to the different articulations in a particular sound library. Perhaps! Oh well ... that's enough for a spur of the moment outburst. cheers. Muddle.

| Hice este pequeño vídeo con algunas muestras de gaitas (pipers). Obviamente la calidad del sonido del vídeo no es la mejor. http://youtu.be/fiZk4OtZoZw

Bit after the event, but anyway GHB isn't too close, but you can always record a sample and use that. Part of the problem is the clip of the passing note used to get between notes - you really need two voices, one as the pure note and one for the clipped.

| Not sure what you're saying. What's GHB, and why are you talking of clipping as a good thing?
