Hi I am from India and i liked the instruments on gold sound. Is it possible to use these on cake walk or other sequencer? Or do I have to purchase harmony assistant too? Kiran

Sorry but you can only use them with Melody/Harmony. There is no way to use them directly within any other sequencr software. best regards Lutz

Hello That means i have to buy harmoney plus gold sound as a complete set up. I liked the instrument so much that i would like to insert them in my music midi tracks and produce a audio wave or mp3 cd. Is it possible with both of these together? Why are you selling gold sound separatyely? Does it have any other use? Thank you

Some people don't need good quality of sound, and use only the GMSE (or whatever it's called) soundbase. For example, one could use Harmony only to create visual scores.

>> Please try to answer my question. You have not given me proper answer Oh, sorry. What I believe that would be a complete answer to your question is: Yes, you can use Harmony Assistant to export wave or mp3 audio tracks (as long as other audio formats like raw, aiff, ogg, etc.), but you don't need the Gold DB to to this. The Gold DB comes in addition to Harmony Assistant, so that user can produce waveforms of higher quality of sound. The Gold base consists mostly of samples, and cannot be used for anything different than enhancing the capability of HA (or MA). Think of it as an extension for Harmony.

OK Then what is the use of gold sound base? can it be used as a stand alone unit. I am seriously thinking of buying it but i must make sure that it works for me. I mean what i understand now is I must purchase Harmony if i have to use gold sound. Is that correct? I think I will pay double if gold sound works for other daws. The instruments are really good Thank you Ra

Since they had a lot of work on linux version, but I think this is a project for the future (when? I don't know, and they don't know). If your music software fits perfectly your needs and you just want to work on the sound quality with Gold Base, Melody is OK and cheaper, Harmony is more powerful with scripts MyrScript. Then you'll have to buy one of them, import your piece in Harmony (has more import format supported) or at least MIDI, and then tweak the sounds and export to WAV/MP3. Maybe you'll realize that Harmony fits better your needs for muci writing, who knows?
