Faint grey line appearing

When I insert a 1st time ending at the end of a line I get a faint grey line appearing above the first bar of the next line. It looks like this:     |  but is light grey in colour and 4mm in height, the same size as the height line of the 1st time ending. Any solutions please?

That has something to do with breaks (repeat signs, ending...). Check Score>Edit breaks (at the bottom of the window, there's the list of measures to be played). The greyed lyrics lines line indicates that it is not going to be played (contray to the yellow background) will be sung. There's probably a ||: or a :|| missing.

In that matter (repeats and breaks), both have the same features, but as André mentioned it, it might help if we could take a glimpse at the .myr file

I had it on some trials. Sometimes grey, sometimes truly black, sometimes the expected line where one is expected is grey.

My understanding is that this "expected bar" is vertically cut at line end, which means a kind of alignment problem.

Next step is to eliminate it...

It's not specific to recent releases

The line is not visible in page mode (HA) unless the zoom factor is very high. It does appear on my .pdf export as well. Though, it has something to do with repeat signs. When I add a "next line after this bar" token in bar #3 (bar #4 falls at the beginning of a line) the grey line disappears. I fail to see what's causing this. Perhaps it might be worth sending the file to Myriad for further investigation.

Try these steps:

1) View the bar headers.
2) Click into the bar header of the last bar.

If that fails:
2) Right-click into the bar header of the last bar and mark "Last bar to print".

If that fails:
1) Add an empty bar at the end of score (Cnrl_I)
2) Right-click into the bar header of the last printed bar and mark "Last bar to print".

If that fails:
1) Have a drink
2) Have another
3) Forget it.

I checked in my own files, where I have conditional parts. If there is a "End of conditional part", the problem shows up (if that end is the last bar of a line).

So I could say that the problem is not linked with an unusual setup in aorourke's file. Nor particular to Melody Assistant.

I had never noticed, but I must confess that I rarely set an "end of conditional bar". This is common practice for the last conditional part, since there is not really and end to it. For the first one it is however quite generally used. Perhaps I was lazy, but I remember that I sometimes found that horizontal line annoying with a long first conditional part.

Statistically it will only show 20% of the time, with an average number of bars per line being 5.

As I said earlier, this is not new behavior, it was already there in 981e (equivalent to Melody 781e).

I suspect that the line at the beginning of the system may be part of the vertical bar at the end of the part indication that appears at the end of the previous system.  Try moving the part indicator slightly to the left and see if this solves the problem.

Another tack might be to eliminate the second endings, which are not necessary in the case where the two endings are identical.

I take it back.  The right part of the first part ending does not appear to be adjustable any longer (I swear it used to be!).  But I still think that the grey bar is the very rightmost pixel or two of that bar.

Unfortunately, I cannot see it when I look at the .myr file.
