General Tempo How can I change the playback speed "General Tempo"? "Score/Gerneral Tempo CTRL-SHIFT-T as an ICON in the menu bar. Since I use HarmonyAssistant on the piano to practice, I don't have a keyboard to enter the key combination. Thanks a lot Frank

| Aren't you running HA on a computer (with a keyboard) ? Or perhaps you can't reach the computer keyboard while playing ? As for having a tempo icon, I can't think of any solution except going through a script and copying the link to a user's palette. I wonder whether a MIDI event could be caught and tranfsormed into a command for HA.

@bubu42 I use a convertible PC to practice. I am currently in great pain (sciatica) and can hardly stand up to get to the keyboard @Oliveira I'm sorry if I missed something. Unfortunately, I don't speak French or Spanish Piano tutor and voice meter are indispensable for me to practice. For these scripts I mainly use HA. The only thing I can't use is "Learning notes on Piano" in its current form. It's a shame that the plug-ins are so little known. Are really very good. I searched the Internet for a long time. Only HA can do that.

Ah, I see ! Very clever to use a computer that way. As Oliveira suggests, you could set another keyboard shortcut (one key only) in Configuration>Global Setup>Keyboard>Keyboard Setup. But it would still require to stand up and reach the computer's keyboard. If you have a mouse, a very simple script could solve the problem : an icon can be attached to a script in the user's palette and when clicked, it could open the general tempo setup window.

Thank you for the idea, a mouse is connected. The only thing I can think of is how to get it into the menu bar. I was able to define scripts such as piano tutor or voice meter in their own menu. I don't know how to get the entry General Tempo in your own menu bar. How do you proceed? Thanks very much Frank

| Actually, it's pretty simple. There's only one line in the script which calls the general tempo edit window. Once it is saved in the scripts folder, you only have to shift-click on its name in the script menu and a button is automatically placed in the user's palette. I attach the archive. It should install in Scripts>Miscellaneous : generaltempo

Great ! Actually, it's probably the shortest script available in HA. I still have to check the Guinness book of records

There is a German saying that goes, "In der Kürze liegt die Würze" In brevity lies the spice" It helped me a lot. I admire people who can program and write scripts. You have done well Frank

| Don't apologize. The most efficient usage of languages in a multilanguage forum is that everybody writes in his own language, or a language he masters enough to write without a translation aid. So, write in English or German same as I write in English or French, and Oliveira always in Spanish, while I'm sure he reads, and probably speaks, several other languages... Translation aids should be used only for reading. The only exception would be for the "Subject" where it's more practical for everybody if it's written in a frequently used language. Or, you might say "hello" or "Thanks" in the language of the person you adress.
