Greetings, Something new, for me. I am used to using my keyboard to enter songs, and have been able to do this quite well. Today, however, my keyboard seems to be locked in "build a chord" mode, and I can't advance to the next beat, unless I use the mouse. I have composed a wonderful piece1, which apparently has found the lost chord, at long last. I've attached it as an image. How can I get my keyboard to advance to the next note, after I enter a note or a rest?2 1Just ask my mom ... 2I must have messed up a default setting somewhere. Silly me ...

I suspect it may have to do with your configuration. Go to Configuration > Global setup > Keyboard and make sure "Note duration according to pressure time" is unchecked. If that doesn't help, I don't know what else to suggest, sorry. But surely one of the power users will find this thread and provide illumination.

Bruce, there is a "Global Setup" setting to which keyboard to use (see picture). I could reproduce your problem using the first option, but it works well with the second option, though it should not be necessary when using the computer keyboard. Not that I would say that this behaviour is "normal", it may be that the second choice is an acceptable bypass. (I don't know why, attaching a png does not work today; sorry for the missing picture)
