I'm getting display problems, as shown in the attached image.

For background, I installed logical volume management on my computer, which necessitated reinstalling Linux Mint.  I had a bit of trouble configuring Harmony Assistant after reinstalling, for reasons I don't fully understand, but which may have been related to an error I made in setting up the logical volume, since corrected.

However, I just reinstalled HA 9.9.7e, and I am still getting the display problem, even though the configuration dialogue is properly accepting paths, now.

1) Has anyone seen this before, and would you happen to know how to fix it?

2) Do you think it might be related to how the HA fonts are installed, in particular SToccata?  (However, using one of the other fonts doesn't seem to help.)

3) Is there perhaps a value in ACAMPREF somewhere that I need to set manually?  Should I delete my configuration entirely and start fresh?

4) Should I get Didier or Olivier involved?  Or not yet?

5) Is it relevant that I reinstalled from a set of HA files that I downloaded a while ago?  In other words, do you think deleting that download and downloading afresh would help?

Any and all thoughts would be appreciated.

From what I can see, there's definitely a font problem. Most of the missing icons in the toolbar are based on SToccata. Same thing with the score itself

Perhaps it's worth looking into /usr/share/HarmonyAssistant/fonts as well as /usr/share/fonts/truetype/myriad-online/harmony which should contain the SToccata.ttf file.

Thank you, Bubu, for putting me on the right trail.

I checked, and the SToccata font was present in both directories.  The problem turned out to be that the permissions for all the HA fonts allowed access only to root.  I fixed the permissions, and my scores look just fine, now.

I don't know why the fonts didn't get installed correctly, but I may have accidentally run the install script as root, now that I think about it.  And of course, when I reinstalled again just an hour ago, I bet that the installer saw the fonts already present and didn't rewrite them, so the permissions didn't get changed.

Anyway, all's well that ends well!

Thanks again for your help.

Bonjour

Good !
By the way, I should have mentioned the permissions and the root/sudo user. That's the main source of issues, whether people use Windows, MacOS or Linux...

Constaté ce bug sur HA 997e, pas sur HA 998 RC1.
