PDF displays correctly in Preview and Adobe. When processed by pdftomusic pro trial (OSX) it doesn't have the correct font/symbols. Have tried fiddling with Correction/Font options but no luck. (Also when I tried process as graphic, the application crashed) I have reloaded the trial version and deleted the cache and preferences. Same behaviour. It looks like the music has been recognised as the staves and bar numbers appear about right. Can anyone shed any light on this before I give up? Thanks.

FWIW, I have font problems (probably the same ones) when I open your file with a non-trial version of PDFtoMusic Pro, and also with the non-pro version. Exporting the file in .myr or .xml format "transports" the font problems. This doesn't solve the problem, but indicates that the problem - is not typical to the trial version, nor the Pro - is not only cosmetic within PDFtoMusic - is not typical to mac, since I'm in Windows Now, opening the PDF with Adobe Acrobat (or Foxit) reader shows a "normal" font image. If I then recreate a PDF, opening the result in PDFtoMusic gives a normal result. This might be a bypass to progress. But it's strange... It may be useful to know if the PDF was created by you recently from another Music editor, or was found that way on the market or the web.

Thanks everyone. The original pdf was one from the internet and I hadn't used my music program to create it ( I'm a long term user of Finale). I don't know how this pdf was created. The pdf I uploaded was one I had loaded into OSX Preview and done an export of the desired page, hoping that the export would fix the font issue. The original "info/metadata" says PScript5.dll Version 5.2, and Acrobat Distiller 4.05 for Windows, and claims to be PDF Version1.3(Acrobat 4.x)

3. Abra con Finale el Xml. No le será difícil reacondicionar ese archivo. Finale trata muy bién el XML. Suerte.

Hi, I have tried virtual printers. Actually the file I initially uploaded was not exported but printed to a pdf file using the OSX print services. This obviously didn't work. I copied the file to my work computer which is Windows 10 and tried the virtual printers on it. (Supplied by our IT dept.) "PDFill PDF &Image Writer" did not work - same font problem but the "Microsoft Print to PDF" did work - when I copied back to OSX I could convert to music and xml and load in Finale. So, I can get around the problem, but only if I transfer to Windows and print to specific virtual printer, (as not all Windows virtual PDF printers fix the problem.) I'll continue to play around. Thanks for the help.
