Observations while testing PDFtoMusic Pro on linux   P2M-test.pdf

I'm just starting to verify this program to check, if it could fullfill my needs.
Trying the Demo mode with some sample document (attached), I had some observations.

GUI: When I open the File select box and move the mousepointer to an edge of the box, the mouse pointer becomes an resize arrow. THIS IS STICKY. The normal mouse pointer never comes back until the program is closed.

GUI: In general this "having a document window inside a window manager window" is very confusing.

GUI: Opening a PDF via filemanager / RightMouseClick / Open with ... / PDFtoMusic Pro is not functional. Instead of showing the document, the programm processes the document and generates musicxml. The batchmode should only be used, when -format parameter is passed or command p2mp is used.

myrweb: When I export the PDF to myrweb, I only get one sound track. The mixer inside the myrweb page seems to have "mute" and "solo" buttons, but they are quite useless, if all sounds are only in one track and not separated. Is this a limitation of the trial mode or a bug?

exported files in general: All exported files get the attributes rwxrwxrwx, thus are marked as executable. THIS IS A SECURITY BREAK and a NoGo!

p2mp commandline
Crashes for myrweb: ** stack smashing detected ***: terminated

If I can help in investigating the issues, please come back to me.

Hello,
Thanks for helping devs to make PDF2M better.
By the way, I advise you to write directly to info@myriad-online.com with all your technical recommandations, screenshot of bugs.
The forum is mostly help by users to other users. Devs sometimes read it. Here, no user can help you, only devs

Ok, I will do in future.
But can you – or anybody – answer the question about the myrweb mixer and tracks? Regards.

For the myrweb, I must admit I use (or will use) it from Harmony Assistant where there is a setting dialog so I can set up options, and separate/all voice in a single stereo track.

While you write your email, you may ask why there is not setting dialog for MyrWeb export from PDF2M Pro.

This is not a trial / registered probelm, I'm registered.

Thank you, I've now also located it in PDFtoMusic.

In menu "Setup/Preferences" on page "Export" there is a checkbox "Advanced Web export setup", which then will show the settings dialog, you mentioned.

Maybe, this information is also useful for other P2M users.

I am deeply sad.

I did as you suggested and wrote an EMail. But I got no reply within nearby three weeks. it's a pitty, I really like to help to create good software and various products (not only but also related to music production) have drawn their benefit from my comments in the past. Maybe I'm used to better by e.g. PriMus from columbussoft: Users get instant response mostly within hours and bugfixes are returned within days, if possible. And this is a one-man-company (!).

I am convinced that PDFtoMusic Pro is a good product. And the choir I'm singing in would sure make use of myrweb for rehearsal. But 200¤ for obvious bugs to be found at first glance are simply to much, especially if there is no response on remarks, which try to help and not to complain.

Regards ...

Don't be so sad.
There are only two guys working on all their softwares.

I frequently send them long emails and I keep a track of them.
For some of them they replied quickly, for some other, it's longer, but one day or another a reply come, or bugfix/new feature.

Here in France we had some holidays too.
